New To North Dakota? Start Shopping For Thermals!

Winters Coming

North Dakota weather can turn on a dime! Last week we were in the upper 90's and this week has been in the 60's and 70's for day time highs. The lows have been in the 40's this week. I remember Trick or Treating in the snow more times than not.

The National Weather Service says that typically North Dakotain's can see their first freezing temps of the year anywhere from September 11th to September 30th. Here in North Dakota most of us pray FOR Global Warming.

If you are from the Southern States a few steps you need to take are:

Get you car, boat, and camper winterized. Frozen fluids will ruin each of these items.

If you purchased a home there are many insulating tips you will want to familiarize yourself with.

Forget about fashion... buy some warm clothes.

Besides winterizing your vehicle get snow/ice tires. I don't care how big and bad your pick-up truck is they don't stop on ice any better than a 1976 Yugo.
