Hey! Do I Have Tomato On My Face?

Bob the Real Estate Broker in Minot ND

Last night was my favorite social event of the year,

The Great Tomato Festival

I know I should have blogged about this yesterday but it was a busy day and they sold out of tickets last week anyhow. As far as I'm concerned this is the BIGGEST snob social event of the year. Every year I volunteer to set tables and do what I can before all the people come. From time to time I donate items for the silent auction and I always do my part to bid up items on the auction (hoping I don't get stuck with them). Anyhow, it's a good cause:

This year’s proceeds will go to the Minot Symphony Orchestra, Minot Public Library, Taube Museum of Art and the Lewis & Clark Ft. Mandan Foundation.

Some records were set this year including attendance and money raised. It's a lot of fun and I hope to see you there next year.

This sounds like fun.  I've been picking tomatoes from my plants in the backyard all week.  Now - what to make.....

Belinda Spillman we started early and had green fried tomatos. I'm glad we are eating red ones now.

It was fun Stefan Winter and I've made friends over the years that I only see at that event.

That's a lot of tomatos, Bob! I'm sorry you haven't posted any pictures. But at least it sounds like the event was totally successful this year.

It was a blast Nina Hollander . I  will buy you a ticket next year if you would come visit.

Well it is a good showing if you sell out weeks ago.  I have done the up bidding and received some nice stuff I did not want.

Bob - good that you support your local community with this event.  I love everything with tomatoes.

Larry Johnston thank goodness someone out bids me to. This year I didn't end up with the winning bid on anything!

That was not the case for me this year William Feela but there have been years where I ended up having my Christmas purchasing completed when I didn't expect to due to being the high bidder.

Hello Bob "RealMan" Timm

It sounds like the event was a big success and it's wonderful that the proceeds go to support local arts and museums.
