The Lure Of Leaves

 The Timm's Leaf pile

How strong is the lure of a leaf pile? My kids, Timmothy age 13 and Tina age 15 (both pictured above), raked our back yard just to get in on the fun. I also had to invite our neighbors kids, ages 1 and 3, over for a little fun. I wish I would have kept a picture of 3 year old River (but I gave it to his mom) as he had the time of his life being thrown into that pile. What about dad.... DARN RIGHT I took a couple of turns jumping in there.... I am only a kid of 61 ya know!

I do remember the days of diving into a pile of leaves Bob "RealMan" Timm. I also remember the smell. There's something about the smells of Fall

Good morning Bob,

Just out of curiosity what was the bribe to get them to rake the leaves.

I don't have enough anymore here for that kind of pile to jump in!

Make yourself a great day.

Hi Bob, I remember raking my yard growing up and diving into the leaves.

Looks like fun.  It is sad to see the leaves falling.  Soon those leaf piles will be replaced with snow piles.

Doug Dawes I love Fall except that it leads to Winter, however my Fall allergies are the worst and it would be nice to breath soon.

Raymond E. Camp believe it or not the only bribe necessary was the reward of jumping into the leaves.

It was the best part of raking Sybil Campbell , wasn't it?

A. of Ron and Alexandra Seigel inviting the wee ones from next door was the best. River's grin was priceless!

William Feela that would be Tina. She wanted to take the pic completely buried but then I asked how anyone would know that she was in there?

Kim Johnson those leaves made me forget all about "those aching bones" until this morning.

I know what you mean Belinda Spillman I'm getting my snowblower tuned up this week.

Gosh, it's been years and years since I was buried in a leaf pile.  For some reason it sounds like a whole lot of fun once again!

Ahh pile diving! That was so fun when I was a kid in Upstate NY.

With the Maple trees in that area I bet the piles were a lot more colorful then the yellow pile we had in the back yard Marco Giancola

I had a great time Myrl Jeffcoat jumping in but it was even better to see the kids having fun with it.

Good for you for jumping in! Your kids probably thought that was the coolest thing they have ever seen!
