Thanksgiving Games

Thanksgiving was always one of my favorite holidays as a kid, not because of the food but because of the games. Although I was always first in line for the pumpkin pie.

Our family was big on card and board games. Monopoly was always a must. Rummy Royal, Kings in the corner, even Go to the Dump. I think we played games from 1st thing in the morning till we all feel asleep at the table.

Back when I was a kid football was not nearly as big... yes we had TVs back then and Football existed but it just was not as big a thing. This clip art got me thinking about tomorrows games.

Bob "RealMan" Timm Thanksgiving dinner and football with family almost as good as the super bowl. Maybe even better. Good food and family.

Thanks for telling me who I will miss playing. I never watch football if I can help it around my house, well, except for the Super Bowl thing and then only at halftime. I am so mean I make my husband turn the sound off until halftime comes on.

Happy Thanksgiving to you. I like the idea of playing board games. May offer that to the non-football folks today.

We played Monopoly, Life, Clue and Battleship.  When we got older it was pinnacle in cards and eventually Hand and Foot.

Good memories of board games & card games, Bob "RealMan" Timm Now it seems the kids prefer video games. Can't believe we made it through entire holiday with no football until GB game.  Maybe early to bed for me
