Bob and the Drone, Rounds 2 and 3

Drone1

Success and Defeat!

Success: I got the drone to do a fairly steady hoover for at least 10 seconds and I got it to take some pics and a video. (video below)

Defeat: Aside from the typical crashes I got it stuck HIGH up in a tree and in the process I broke the drone. Hopefully the glue required to make it whole will not throw it off to much.

I guess technology is not your forte, but technology does not sell real estate. Great, if drones rained commission checks.

I'm sorry you broke your drone. Hey, why do you have a reindeer in your back yard?

That is to bad, but you make my point more valid...is it really needed?

Bob- welcome to the world of RC planes.  Larry has had his planes stuck in the trees; landed in a canal and once on top of a parked school bus!

Bob - Sorry to hear that you broke your drone. That is one reason why I probably won't purchase one. I would hate to break it right out of the box.

Glad it sounds like you were able to repair it.

I probably should have started with a cheap model but I really wanted the HD version. I'm hoping the glue holds up a long time Troy Erickson .

I would love to have a drone.  But, I live in a fairly urban area and fear I could get into a lot of trouble with it.  However, I can invision that around some of our California Gold Rush towns I could get some really good pictures.

Hi Bob "RealMan" Timm , I think you are doing better than I. I have only had it outside once and crashed into the side of the house, although I haven't broken it, YET!!!!

Well, this post answered the question I posted on your Day 1 of the drone!  Great job!

Hey Jan Green those pictures were just good luck. I'm looking forward to the coming weekend to see if I can truly master the thing.

Look at it this way; you've gotten a few good blog posts from your experiences with the drone, plus you've spent quality time with the kids. That's a win-win! Your photo above looks good. Keep practicing and keep writing. :)

That's quite an achievement Bob "RealMan" Timm - 10 seconds of steady hoover!

Getting there....
