Drone Done? Is Bob's Flying Career Over?

Realtor, Minot ND

The Same Fate As Charlie Brown's Kite?

Is "Pilot Bob" forever grounded... or is that Treed?

Will this be the final flight of Bob's drone? It's looking pretty grim for this poor abused aircraft. In its short life it's had extremities broken off and glued back on (3 times) as well as many other parts refastened/repaired with crazy glue. It seems pretty well lodged in the tree and only time will tell if a good wind can blow it off before the new growth of the tree makes it a permanent fixture or if Bob can flag down a passing cherry picker type truck willing to rescue it. Things are not looking good for the drone.

Looks like your drone crashed and burned . . . . A little super and up and running again.

Good luck and success.

Bob- Larry flies RC planes, and I cannot tell you how many times his have landed in a tree, or a canal, or lake... I could go on!

I hope I get it back Lou Ludwig but the tree it's in is on public grounds so I will have to be there at the right time.

Sounds expensive Kathy Streib I'm going to think twice before I plop down another hundred for one of these toys.

Hi Bob "RealMan" Timm , How are you at tree climbing?  Eventually, I hope you get the hang of it, unless all that glue weighs it down and keeps it from flying.

Sorry about the crash Bob, it should blow out of the tree on one of these windy spring days.

Good morning Bob "RealMan" Timm . Note to self, "Don't fly your drone around a tree. Bad things happen"

I think you will be shopping for a new drone. They are prohibited in our area.

Uh-oh Bob "RealMan" Timm that does not bode well for the drone...maybe a cat will get caught in the tree too and a wonderful fireman will come to the rescue!

Ouch. I was flinching when it first ran into the curb on take-off. OK, I was also laughing. Then when it fell into the middle of the street, ha, ha, ha, you were so lucky a car didn't run over it right then. Well, maybe that would been a better fate. Sorry about your drone.
