Thank You for the Code Of Ethics

Home sellers, Minot ND

EvolutionI am thankful for The National Association Of Realtors Code Of Ethics and the Realtors' Pledge of Performance and Service.

I am glad that members of our profession as far back as 1913 saw a need to police itself and adapt a Code of Ethics.

I don't believe you can legislate ethical behavior, there will always be bad apples, but I think it's important that we self police our industry and let the public know what the vast majority of us believe.

I am thankful that the Code of Ethics continues to evolve and helps to weed out those "bad apples" that try to find ways around doing whats right for the public in an effort to enrich themselves.

This is my 8th entry into Debbie Reynolds The 10 Day Thanksgiving Post Challenge

It is one of the main things that sets us apart from a practitioner. Coming soon is an online program called the committment to excellence. I was on the original advisory baord that kicked it off and what I saw in Orlando was terrific.

Hi Bob m- you are so right about this.  The code of ethics are the values and it is wonderful to have great values which are non negotiable!

I agree Bob "RealMan" Timm our Code of Ethics is wonderful.  But, we may need some additional weeding in the garden

Without the code we would be a bunch of outlaws out after each other

That is so true. I take it very seriously and am proud to honor the Code.

Good morning Bob.  If only everyone would follow that code for each client maybe one of these days it would be abolished.  A dream I know however, it is a dream

Hi Bob "RealMan" Timm - If only we could wave a magic wand and everyone would follow it. Fortunately, this AR community has a big affect on changing the culture and we all do it collectively.

There are positives to be found within regulations and rules, as you so eloquently point out, Bob "RealMan" Timm ... they not only protect consumers, but the other professionals within the industry too ...

Timely and wise post ...
