Beardless Bob is Back

Shaved 04/06/2019Back! Despite almost no demand what so ever, it's me without a beard.

For me to shave is a two day process. Day one I have to use a dog groomers sheers because my beard is so thick. Day two is two stages. Stage one is to lather up about a half dozen times and then have at it with my Gillett Fusion. The Fusion has 5 blades in the cartridge head and the razor viberates to give a cleaner, smoother shave. Believe it or not that doesn't do it so the 2nd and final stage if to hit the chin with my Norelco electric razor to get rid of those stubbern patches that the Gillette blades leave behind. What I'd give if only this would grow on top of my head instead of on my chin!

Here is what I looked like 24 hours ago.

The difference between the before and after is remarkable, Bob.  I really can't say which one I like better!  Just different flavors I guess!

Thanks Myrl Jeffcoat .  I like no beard but the warmth a beard provides in a North Dakota winter is absolutely amazing.

Bob,

I like the beard, and I can understand with summer coming it would be another source of heat.  If you are happy that is all that matters in the stream of things.  Happy people are fun people and friendly people.  A

Thank you A of Ron and Alexandra Seigel , I'm thinking it will be back next Fall again.  Oddly enough one of the things I had missed about being clean shaven is that it's been months since anyone has asked me if I am Bruce Willis. When I am clean shaven I'm usually asked a couple of times a week.

Hello Bob, I  was not sure when it would come of, the first day of Spring or first day of summer.

Hey Bob... there's the face I know and love! You look 10 years younger without that beard!

Bob, I agree with Nina Hollander, you do look younger without the beard.

Will Hamm I would normally wait until it was a little warmer outside but it had become unbearable to me so off it went.

Hi Bob - ta dah.   Will the beard make a return next winter?

Posted by Michael Jacobs, Los Angeles Pasadena 818.516.4393 4 months ago

Morning Bob.

I'm in the same boat.  If it would only grow on my head like it does on my chin.  Oh well, it is what it is

Good morning Bob. It does not grow well in any area for me. But I still have some on my head! Enjoy your day!

Good morning Bob. What a process. Who knew. You have a really nice face.

It most likely will be back Michael Jacobs . The warmth it provides in the winter is unbelievable.

I don't get it James Dray , if I were spotted in the woods I may be mistaken for a bear... except for the bald head.

And I am envious Wayne Martin .

Bob "RealMan" Timm - Personally, I LIKE the beard! You look distinguished! Like an author, Professor, a man of high intelligence.

You look good the other way too but I like the bearded man! In my opinion, the bearded man actually makes you look younger!!! But more important than what I think or anyone else on ActiveRain, what does your wife think? She's all that really matters.

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP she likes that I change it up every once in a while. I enjoy the change as well. This is the 1st time in all these years however that the beard ever became uncomfortable. Next year I will keep it closer trimmed and maybe that will work better for me.

It's been a pretty mixed reaction Roy Kelley but I'd have to say the majority of the ladies like the clean shaven me.

Posted by Bob "RealMan" Timm, Owner of Ward Co. Notary Services, retired Realtor (Ward County Notary Services) 3 months ago

I just did yesterday Grant Schneider . So far the reviews have been good.

Endre Barath, Jr. I myself am amazed at the small about of blood that was spilled during the operation. Only one nick on the neck and it's healed already. I don't ever remember it being so difficult to remove in the past so this may give me some pause to think about growing it back next winter.

So when do you typically grow that beard, Bob?  I've had one for years and while it gets trimmed...drastically sometimes...it's aways there. I've had a moustache for many years!!

I think this is the first photo I have seen of you with a beard!!
