Honeymoon In Minot, Theater Review by Bob Timm

Honeymoon in MinotLast night I attended the play HONEYMOON IN MINOT. This is/was the play produced by Dan Fagan whom I interviewed on Minot Today, my radio broadcast.

I attended the third and final night. I believe all 3 nights were sell outs!

It was very funny and had my 17 year old son laughing out loud many times which I'm not sure I've ever seen before.

I certainly give it a big thumbs up!

It had a lot of local content in it so I'm not sure if it will make Broadway but I'm sure it will play around these parts off and on for many years. Dan did a great job of writing and the actors all preformed flawlessly. It was a treat to know one of the actors as well as having gotten to know Dan Fagan through our radio interview. If you would like to hear the 15 minute interview it was posted right here on Active Rain earlier in the week.

Oh, that sounds wonderful, Bob! I'm a fan of shows that make you laugh - not the sad, tragic ones either. Glad you enjoyed the show.

Morning Bob.

I remember going with my wife to see the stage play "Cats".  I made the remark to her, "are people really going to dress up like cats?"  Just not my cup of tea

Good morning Bob. Sometimes these local plays grab the audience's attention in a big way. It grabbed your son! Enjoy your day!

Good morning, Bob... sounds like both you and Timmothy had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the play. Since we're talking two different generations here, that says a lot about the appeal of this production.

Good morning Bob "RealMan" Timm - it would be too bad if it does come east.  Based on your review I would enjoy it.

Abby Stiller it's really hard to beat a romantic comedy especially if it leans a bit more towards the comedy (IMHO).

I never did see CATS James Dray , I don't think it would be my cup of tea either.

Well said Wayne Martin . It was really fun to see Timmothy enjoy himself at the play. I'm hoping it may inspire him to consider writing a play.

It really does Nina Hollander and I never thought about it that way. The play was also written in a pretty wholesome spirit so I was not embarrassed by anything my son saw or heard.
