Val Stadick, Minot Entrepreneur, Main Street Books

If you were to ask me who is Minot's most enterprising woman it would be an impossible task but Val Stadick would be right at the top of the list. Val started Main Street Books with some used books,a loan from her husband, and a lot of determination. Today Main Street books is one of the most popular stores in the City of Minot and I dare say even a draw to Minot ND. Val is an inspiration to anyone who has nothing but a dream and the determination to make that dream come true.

Minot Today is broadcast over the air on two Minot radio stations every Friday. You can find it on 106.9 FM at 12:15 (Noonish) and again at 4:45 on 1320 AM. Of course I always post the broadcast as a Podcast here as well as my Podcast site at Pod-O-Matic.

Good morning, Bob... one of my favorite places to hang out... a good bookstore. Unfortunately, there seem to be fewer and fewer of those around.

Just proof that with hard work and determination almost anything is possible. The American dream is alive and well.

You would love Main Street Books Nina Hollander . There are lots of nooks and books for us to explore.

Val is an inspiration Mike Frazier and such a breath of fresh air compared to the people I know that whine that someone won't give them the money to make their dream come true. If you have a dream and no money then get a job and earn the money so you can be the investor of your dream... right?

Wow, what a big building Bob for a book store.  Thanks for pointing this out to us here in the rain.

Bob, What a great thing to have a bookstore, and thriving.  Many bookstores are closing these days.  Have a great weekend.  A

I think the key is that it's not part of a chain and Val can respond quickly to market trends. That and she is there every day to see things run smoothly Ron and Alexandra Seigel .

Hello Bob - a nice shout out to Ms. Stadick and Main Street Books.  There is a lot to be said about the power of determination.

There sure is Michael Jacobs and any sucessful RE agent is the product of determination. With a 99% failure rate in RE you have to be determined to be in the 1% group.
