Shredfest! Saturday June 1st in Minot ND

Here is a GREAT idea and a GREAT opportunity, Shredfest!

I received the following postcard from AARP. The post card states that it is limited to two boxes but it doesn't say what size of boxes. I plan on bringing old banking records and if there is any room left I will bring some Real Estate records as well. It is my understanding they could use some help unloading boxes at the event if you would like to help.

We did our own ShedEvent last month and had great success even though it rained all day. We got some swag out to people and were able to interact with people we might not otherwise encounter.

Good evening Bob "RealMan" Timm - I took full advantage of that service in our area.  Now I stay up to date with my own shreadere.

That's what I like about these events as well Debe Maxwell, CRS . If it were not for certain annual events I would loose track with quite a few people.

I've got quite a bit to shred after closing my brokerage (way more than 2 boxes) plus my taxes for several years Grant Schneider . This will make a dent in it but not catch me up for sure.

Morning Bob.

I have our own shredder.  While I don't shreds many documents, there are those that contain information I don't want anyone to know about

Good morning Bob. Nothing like cleaning up a space and shredding the content, especially if you can do it for free. Enjoy your day!

Shredding is the way of life these days, can't have people digging through the trash to steal our identities, haha.

That's for sure Brian England . So far I've only had one brush with identity theft but that was enough.

Bob "RealMan" Timm I have always wondered how effective and successful these events are. And another question; Where do all those shreddings end up? I suppose you could feed them to goats

Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI according to the AARP representative I spoke to she says the ones held in Fargo and Bismarck ND keep growing and I believe she said they had about 800 to 1,000 participants at each last year. I use my shredded paper to start fires in my backyard fire pit or campfires.

Back when I owned a pet store we used it for bedding in the puppy pens as well.

Those kinds of events are so valuable for communities these days.  I am amazed at the amount of spam mail I get in my mailbox, that also requires shredding.  It's not just bank records, etc., anymore.

Myrl Jeffcoat , for me it's loan documents that get generated when I'm doing remote closings as a Mobile Notary Public. Regretfully I may print off 300 pages and then the title company says something needs to be changed so the whole doc needs reprinting.
