A LABOR of Love

Tina Ready To ServeThe Timm family is using this special day to enjoy Tin's company before she heads off to Basic Training tomorrow.

We have been fortunate to have her home for the summer (from college) although much of the time she has been working two jobs in an effort to pay off her student loans.

She has truly "labored" all summer and today is one of the very few she has not worked one or both of her jobs.

Tomorrow she heads to Milwaukee as that is her home base for the Air National Guard (she was/is going to the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design). From their she will head to Texas for basic and then to Florida for tech school to be an engineer.

Today will be a day of fun and games plus diner at Applebees and then more fun and games. Tomorrow will be sad as we most likely won't see her again till Christmas.

Please keep Tina Natalie Timm in your prayers as she will certainly be tested physically and mentally during Basic Training.

Hi Bob... wishing Miss Tina much luck and success in her basic training. I have this sneaky suspicion that she will rock it, much like she does the rest of her life.

I think so too Nina Hollander . She works out every day and she is also very fit mentally.

Hi Bob "RealMan" Timm  . I am sure Tina will do well.  I have a niece who did the same thing - but in the army - after college.  Through her efforts, she ended up a P.A. and served in Iraq setting up field hospitals.  She is better for the service she did.  You must be very, very proud.

She is a whole lot smarter then I was at her age Roy Kelley (she may even be smarter than I am now ).

Thanks for the encouraging story Lynnea Miller . I do have to say though that I can not imagine Tina being an even better person then she already is.

Morning Bob.

Tina will do just fine, she was raised for that.  Now, engineering, that is way beyond me, never was good at math.

Bob- so proud of your Tina and will definitely keep her in my prayers. Larry was in the Air Force, so good choice!!!!!  Tell her we want her to enjoy her adventure and to be safe!!!!!

I think she is going to love it as well Endre Barath, Jr. . She likes work, structure, serving others, and much more the military offers. I just hope she can avoid some of the sexual harassment issues we have read about.

Again, you and I are cut from the same cloth James Dray . I was horrible at math until I learned Cribbage.

Will do Kathy Streib . I know the Air Force will be a good fit for Tina as a career.
